Phoenix Renaissance President Rev. William Gause and Renaissance Secretary Caroline Hemmingway receive a $2900 donation from Kiwanian Anne Myers. Phoenix Renaissance’s purpose is to develop, promote and sponsor alternatives to the abuse of drugs and the use of violence, by providing programs for our young community. It believes in both reaching out to children and helping young people achieve their full potential. It recognizes that these youngsters have many challenges in front of them. A rekindling of hope for the families and children will develop a climate of determination, perseverance and obtainable future goals. To serve these families and others similar to them throughout Horry County, Phoenix Renaissance has provided an After School Program, Summer Youth Camp, Thanksgiving Community Dinner and Holiday Food Baskets for more than 30 years.
