Fostering Hope Board President Al Stein (center) receives a $2500 donation from Kiwanians Joe Thibodeau and Hajar Newsome. Fostering Hope’s mission is “to improve the overall well being and safety of homeless forgotten youth ages 13-21 by extending a helping hand to those youth whose lives may be in disarray.” It understands that often times children in crisis situations have nothing more than the clothes they are wearing. These children may be in the process of starting over in a brand new environment. Fostering Hope’s Children’s Resource Center is stocked with clothes, personal hygiene items, school supplies, toys, and books to help aid these children during this difficult transition. Fostering Hope also knows that taking on a child in need can be an overwhelming challenge. Its aim is to support resource families and help relieve some of the burdens they assume when they welcome a child into their home and hearts.
